Eurostar is a popular high-speed train service that connects major cities across Western Europe. It began operations on 14 November 1994, with full daily services starting in May 1995. The train links countries like the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany through the famous Channel Tunnel and has carried over 400 million passengers.
In recent years, Eurostar merged with another European rail service, Thalys, creating a larger rail network that serves even more destinations and makes booking easier.
It is planning to invest around €2 billion in new high-speed trains that will enter service from 2031, and will add direct routes from London to Frankfurt and Geneva in the early 2030s.
